Dr Kate Farmer
For those of you who don't know me, I want to tell you my 'wee' little
story. I am an Australian, but fast becoming more kiwi than pavlova. I was born
and trained as a doctor in Brisbane and then spent my junior doctor years in
far north Queensland.
After completing my general practice fellowship, my
partner and I flew 'across the ditch'. We thought 'sweet as' on our arrival and
decided to stay. We have two kiwi daughters, aged 5 and 7, who keep me
busy. I have worked in family planning and general practice since arriving here,
but have really found my last four years as an associate at 575 to be 'choice'.
Outside of work I love doing anything outdoors; surfing, biking, but mostly
trail running. I'm really looking forward to working with Jodie in caring for
you and hope that you will understand my steadily weakening north Queensland
drawl and pronunciation of vowels.
